This is the plain-English version of how we handle your information. We collect the minimum we need to send you what you've asked for, deliver the course you've paid for, and stay on the right side of UK data law. We don't sell your data. Ever.

Who we are

Home Care Growth is operated by Shazad Mohammed as a sole trader, based in England. He is the data controller for any personal information you provide through this website or our services. What we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly. That includes:

• Your name and email address when you submit a form
• Any optional information you add (for example, service name, where you are in your journey, the inputs you put into the calculator)
• Payment information when you enrol on a course (processed by our payment provider, not stored by us)
• Your activity inside the course: lesson progress, comments, calls booked, downloads

We also collect basic technical information automatically:

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
• Pages visited and time on page

Why we collect it, and the lawful basis

We use your information to:

• Send the resources, checklists, calculator results, or info packs you've requested
• Deliver the course you've paid for, including the 1:1 calls and community access
• Email you with related guidance, news, or course updates (with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time)
• Process payments and keep accounting records
• Improve our content and the website
• Comply with legal obligations

Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are:

• Consent for marketing emails (you opted in, you can opt out any time)
• Contract for delivering paid services
• Legitimate interest for keeping the site secure and improving it
• Legal obligation for tax and accounting records

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run our business (CourseCreator 360 for our course platform and email, Stripe for payments)
• Government bodies if legally required (for example, HMRC for tax records)

All processors operate under data processing agreements that meet UK GDPR standards.

How long we keep it

• Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe
• Course access and records: for the lifetime of your access plus 6 years (statutory accounting period)
• Payment records: 6 years (UK accounting requirement)
• Free resource leads who don't enrol: 24 months of inactivity, then deleted

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict processing
• Object to processing
• Receive a machine-readable copy of your data (data portability)
• Withdraw consent at any time

International transfers

Some of our service providers (for example, our analytics or email infrastructure) may store data on servers outside the UK. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards approved under UK GDPR (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy decisions).

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by phone on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to address it first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.

We use a small number of cookies. See our Cookie Policy for what we use and how to manage them.

Children

This site and our services are intended for adults running, registering, or working in home care services in England. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in an email to anyone on our list.
