Why this course exists

Most home care owners learn the hard way. You don’t have to.

The problem

Starting a domiciliary care service in England means hundreds of moving parts: the CQC application, registered manager requirements, policies, care plans, staff files, contracts, on-call, audits, insurance, quality assurance. Most owners piece it together from Facebook groups, outdated templates and advice that doesn’t apply here. It is slow, expensive and lonely.

The promise

Home Care Built to Scale is the complete operating method. Three pillars, 60+ video lessons, 260+ policies and procedures, 250+ templates and trackers, and three 1:1 calls with the person who built it. Not theory. The exact systems running a real, CQC-rated Good domiciliary care service today.

The three pillars

Build. Run. Grow.

Everything in the course sits inside one of three pillars. The order matters. You cannot run a service you haven’t built, and you cannot grow a service that doesn’t run.

Pillar I

Build

Set up a compliant domiciliary care service from a standing start. The legal scaffolding, the CQC application, the paperwork regulators actually ask for.

  • 1.2CQC Ready·
  • 1.3The Backbone·
Pillar I29 lessons
Pillar II

Run

The systems that keep a service running. Recruitment, care plans, on-call, complaints, audits. The engine room of a real domiciliary care service.

Pillar III

Grow

Once the service runs without you, growth becomes a choice. Local authority tenders, private clients, pricing, leadership and stepping back.

Honest fit check

Is this for you?

This is for you if

  • You want to start a domiciliary care service in England and you want to do it properly the first time.
  • You know care work from the inside (as a carer, senior carer, deputy or registered manager) and you’re ready to own the service rather than run somebody else’s.
  • You’re new to the sector and you want a clear route from registration to first hire to first inspection, without piecing it together from scraps.
  • You want the method behind a CQC Good service, plus direct access to the founder on the three calls that matter.

This is not for you if

  • You’re hoping for a quick, low-effort business. Home care isn’t that.
  • You operate in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. CQC is England only, and the application and interview content reflect that.
  • You’re looking for a course that can guarantee a CQC outcome. No honest course can offer that.
  • You’d prefer a course built by a full-time course creator. This is taught by someone still running the service.
Proof over promises

The method is a real service.

The systems taught in this course are the same ones running Semper Care today. Not a case study from five years ago. Not a theory. The live operation.

CQC Good Semper Care

Semper Care is a registered domiciliary care brand, rated Good by the Care Quality Commission across all five key questions. Shazad is the founder and registered owner. Every policy, every template, every tracker in this course is one Semper Care uses in real, inspected practice.

Before working with Shazad, I was stuck and unable to grow my client base. Now I’m on multiple frameworks, have won two tenders, and have transformed from paper based to fully digital.
Won tenders Kabir J.
I had no idea how to set up my company, but this course helped me put everything in place and find my feet. I have now onboarded my first clients and staff and now run a fully compliant business.
Launched from scratch Qessar F.
I was struggling to manage my business and stay in control, but Shazad helped me sort everything out. He also supported me in going fully digital and improving my inspection rating from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good.’

Frequently asked

Answers before you ask.

Does this course guarantee I will pass CQC?
Home Care Built to Scale gives you the templates, the policies and the method that solve the part where most providers actually fail: the paperwork, the systems, the application itself. Follow it properly and that side won’t be your problem. What remains is the CQC fit person’s interview. How that goes will come down to your own experience and how you handle the questions on the day. This course can’t sit the interview for you. What it does is make sure you walk in with everything else already in order.
Is this course relevant outside England?
The regulatory content is England-focused. CQC is the English regulator. Scotland (Care Inspectorate), Wales (Care Inspectorate Wales) and Northern Ireland (RQIA) each have different frameworks, so the application lessons, interview prep and policy set in this course are built for England. The operational lessons (staffing, on-call, care plans, quality) travel well, but we would not recommend the course as your primary resource outside England.
I haven’t started yet. Is it too early to enrol?
Not at all. This is built for exactly that. Pillar 01 walks you through Companies House, ICO, insurance, registered manager requirements, the CQC application form and the fit person’s interview. It’s built for people who haven’t started out yet but are ready to. Most people who start the course are either pre-application or in the first 12 months of trading.
I already have a service. What’s in it for me?
Pillar 02 is where you’ll start. It’s the engine-room content: recruitment, induction, supervisions, care plan quality, on-call cover, complaints handling, audits, HR and payroll. Most owners are struggling to maintain their service with a limited number of clients because of the patchy systems they have in place. This is where the course tends to pay back fastest.
How do the three 1:1 calls work?
Three checkpoints across your first 12 weeks, each on a video call with Shazad. (1) An onboarding call within the first 7 days to map your route through the course and set a 30-day target to submit your CQC application. (2) A four-week check-in to review the documents you've prepared and confirm you're ready to submit. (3) Fit person interview prep at week 12, before you sit your CQC registration interview, with a line-by-line review of your registration documents and a mock interview using the questions CQC is most likely to ask. You book them in the member area.
What’s the refund policy?
Non-refundable once delivered. The reason is practical: from the moment you enrol, you have full access to every policy, procedure and template. The policy library alone is worth more than the course price, so once it’s unlocked we can’t meaningfully take it back. If you’d rather spread the cost first and have the template and policy library drip through as you go, the 3 × £899 option on the pricing card does exactly that. If you’re still weighing the decision up, you can request more info and a short walkthrough video, or spend time on the Meet Shazad page to read the full story of Semper Care and how the course was built.
Who delivers the course?
Shazad Mohammed, founder of Semper Care. Every video is taught from his own experience running a registered, inspected home care service. He has also worked directly with home care owners across England: guiding some through their first CQC application, taking others from surviving to thriving, and supporting owners through competitive tender writing. A practitioner, not a professional coach. Read his story →
How long does it take to go through?
You go through it in your own time. If you’re actively doing the work as you go, not just watching videos, expect around four weeks on Pillar 01 alongside another job, and another few weeks getting your paperwork ready to start providing care. After that it comes down to how quickly you want to submit your CQC application. You have lifetime access, so there’s no timer on any of it.

The method that built Semper Care is yours.

Pay it in full or spread it across three months. Lifetime access either way. Three calls with the person who wrote it. No upsell tiers, no urgency countdown, no coaching boilerplate. Just the operating manual for a domiciliary care service that runs.
